The Vox amp is a sweet sounding rig with its complement of EL84 Power Tube section.  However due to the high voltages that push the pre-amp and power amp sections they can take a beating.  Because of the high voltages the amps are subject to wear and tear a little more than lets say a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or a Marshall Tube Amp.
